Technology Selection

One size does not fit all.  Fleets, industries, and companies are different.  Need an unbiased opinion from people who have been there before?   We'll help you determine needs, assign priorities, determine legal requirements, and facilitate conferences with vendors and other fleets.

We can help you select and negotiate with the right vendor(s).  Contact us for more information.

Project Management

The right plan is important.  So is measuring progress against the plan and having alternatives for those inevitable times that things do not go as planned.

  • What is the scope of the project?
  • Which departments are involved?
  • What tasks are insourced and outsourced?
  • Define responsibilities.
  • Assign roles.
  • Determine IT infrastructure requirements.
  • Project funding.

Once you have determined which technologies and vendors are right for you, it is time to get started.

Let us help you write a simple yet effective project plan.  The elements of this plan will include:

Implementation

The implementation phase starts then the order is placed with the vendor(s), and ends when all technology is installed and the new technology becomes a routine part of your business.

The Implementation Manager
We can provide you with a project manager during your implementation, or train you on managing your own implementation.   However you do it, have an implementation manager who is knowledgable and empowered to make decisions, plans, and deviations to the plan.

What happens during implementation?
Your implementation may last 2 days or 12 months, depending on the complexity of the project and the size of your organization.  Following your project plan, most implementations include:

Receipt of product from vendor
Site preparation
Assign roles and create job descriptions
Vehicle installations
Personnel training
Project task tracking
Problem resolution
Technical support
Remedial and followup training
Integration of business processes and assimilation of company culture using your new system

Technology Audits
Are you happy with the technology that you have?

You may have the perfect technology, but you have not had the expertise to properly implement your system.  You may have outgrown your system, or your system may not match your business processes.  Your technology may not be compatible with your operating requirements.

Based on the current state of technology, we can audit your system and produce an impartial assessment of your system and its effectiveness.
